SMS restore, all solutions

Hi, so I did a hard reset and no my messages are not restoring

What are the solutions I can try to get my messages restored to my phone? build 10586.29, everything updated, lumia 1020, Kenya

Help really appreciated

I didn't do a restore as many have recommended not doing it.

Go to Settings/System/Messaging - you'll find the settings to sync texts there.

I have that enabled but nothing has come through

You need to have had that setting set in the past for you to get your text messages back. Basically, messages will only be synced to the cloud when the backup option is on. If you've only just set the option, any messages before this point will not be restored.

It has always been on. I'll try again tonight on wifi and even cellular

Yes, it does, I must have manually synced 20 times in an hour

I had upgraded to 10581 from 8.1, no hard reset. Then moved to 10586.11, no hard reset. Then moved to 10586.29. Waited a week and hard reset yesterday

If you had backup enabled on your old device they will upload, if not your SOL.
