Snow Screen of Death

I am now going to be on my THIRD Lumia 928 with verizon.

What happened to both the first and second is that all of a sudden, the screen goes fuzzy and looks like snow from a tv that has no signal. This stays on the screen and no buttons or resets do anything. verizon said this is not a known issue and I was wondering if anyone else out there has encountered this problem? I have had to replace two now with the same issue. Thanks for your feedback.

I was able to fix it but not with the soft reset. In fact the buttons were rendered useless.

To fix the problem, I removed the SIM card, cleared any debris and reinserted the SIM. This caused the phone to do a full power down cycle and now its back up and running (for now).

Thank you for your help and quick response.

My 920 used to do that on occasion. I would hold power for along time, which would turn the screen off, after which I could do a soft reset.

I've seen it sporadically on my 928 when watching streaming video. Soft reset always works for me.

Just one of the many tiny bugs the 928 is known for. I've had this bug, the yellow navigation smudge, the freak out when you try to pinch to zoom, the audio stuck in headphone mode from poorly seated SIM tray, screen burn in (new this month), blue camera screen of death, and many more. Love the phone, but we deserve better from Microsoft.
