So downloading music to your phone still uses data when playing?

I've downloaded a few albums to my phone from XBMusic and I notice its still using data when I listen to it. Before I started listening my data sense was 272MB used on cellular, after a few songs it grew to 283. How can this be? Its essentially useless to me now. I downloaded the albums the night before on my WiFi.

I think it verifies the DRM licensing of songs, if I am not mistaken. So it will use a little data.

So far it has used 289MB of data. That's all from the music app. I have to get to the bottom of this, do you guys notice it using your data?

It seems like the albums you bought are actually in the cloud, rather than on your phone. I think albums may remain in the cloud, but individual songs can be downloaded to your phone.
