So is Google Chat dead on Windows Phone?

I have been trying to find an app to work for Google chat and have checked recommendations I have seen on the forums for IM+ and Nimbuzz. However Nimbuzz I don't see a way to put in my Google creds
And on IM+ I get it all set up with password and all and it always says disabled as I come out of it.
Am I missing something on the set up or is there another option?

IM+ Pro has worked for me thus far. (shouldn't be too different than IM+ non-Pro)

Have you contacted the developer? I think that's your best bet thus far. I'm not really aware of any other Google Talk things.
