I am looking for a replacement of my Pseudo-Star MacBook Air 13". But here is my quandary...Pro or regular 3? I am used to the big screen and the regular Surface 3 seems tad bit smaller...10.X". But the Pro seems perfect and is a little more expensive. So the question is, will my usage change from my Air to Surface?

A month ago I bought a slightly used SP3 i5 128GB model. Paid $569 on ebay. I opted for the SP3 because I just could not afford the SP4 right now
I am really loving it. Use it everyday for home and some at work too.

With the help of the forums I was able to gain 5.7GB more space on SSD by saving the recovery to a usb stick and deleting that partition with the help of Easeus partition master 11 free version.

The only issue I was having is using the sd card for onedrive. It kept momentarily disconnecting which caused onedrive error. But then the Win10 anniversary update came along and that has fixed the problem. Now after moving my entire onedrive to sd card and some tweaking I now have 101GB free space on the hard drive.

It is fast enough for me and I have no regrets getting the SP3.

Cheers,

I agree. Bought one for myself earlier this year and was in the same boat as you. Just bought one for my wife as well after she used mine for a while and decided she needed her own.

Hi everyone, sharing my thought on the Surface Pro 3

Recently found an open box i7, 256gb, 8gb ram one for $531 and I picked it up, I'm a filmmaker and always looking for a more portable temp/basic solution for video editing, as I uses Premiere CS6 and CC.

After a day of updating, installing, adjusting, lol I tested Adobe Premiere CS6 on it and well, editing 4k with two layers definately is feasible, it may get slow at times (make sure to put video on the microsd card or a faster ssd usb3 drive). I also tested one with 4 layers of videos and 10 layers in audio, color correction/color grading on each clips, without rendering, it gets lagging/sluggish, but once I press enter to render (after an hour for a 7mins), it plays smoothly in 1/8 playback.

I also tried using it with Davinci Resolve 12.5 lol don't bother, creating proxy files took forever lol

Overall, I've enjoy this little machine... :)
