Some stores sell Lumia 950 XL Dual SIM?

Local Microsoft Store has them otherwise you'll have to get them from online store or other sellers like Amazon, ebay, and maybe newegg. I recommend getting from Microsoft cause you would get the 1 year warranty with it when others are just 14 to 30 days.

Actually, warranty and return period are not the same thing :grincry:.

Return period varies from retailer to retailer, generally it is 30 days however warranty last's a year as standard.

Essentially all devices come with 1 year manufacturers warranty as standard unless expressly stated that it lasts longer than that as in "life time warranty, limited lifttime warranty, two year warranty" etc.

Some retailers offer an additional year or more on some products as a sort of after care package which can be purchased or comes as standard to entice more customers and foot traffic to their stores be it physical or digital.

The exception to this if you purchase the device from a retailer that has been returned then reconditioned and graded A,B,C,D and E.

The length of warranty varies from each grade however each customer is entitled to a 1 year's manufacturers warranty however they will need to go through the manufacturer or their contracted or sub contracted repair departments to get issues resolved. Where experiences will vary drastically.

Second hand purchases etc from places like ebay again RMA process through the manufacturer with proof of purchase.

If it's a cash sale then it's upto you to swallow the cost (through repair centres, self repair etc) as you cannot legally proof you had brought the device from the previous owner. I'm not going to go into further detail as it becomes mind achingly convoluted.

This is simply not directed at you as a person but to ensure that people are aware of the differences :winktongue:.

You might want to research that a bit more sir. I had a dual SIM last year from newegg and Amazon. Both did not come with a year warranty per Microsoft and was printed on their sale page stating return policy only. I returned both cause dual SIM version in USA signal strength on both were horrible. And my 1520 has way better signal and gets signal where 950xl could not.

These phones were brand new unopened with matching imei

A 1 year Manufacturer warranty (in this case Microsoft) is the minimum and it's worldwide. It's the law and doesn't matter where you both it (amazon, Newegg, a retailer etc).

I'm sorry, you are conflating two policies here the return window and a manufacturer's warranty .

The return window is what you are refering to and that varies from retailer to retailer.

A 1 year's manufacturers warranty is a given for brand new devices unless it is explicitly stated at the time of purchase under the product description that will get more than 1 year's warranty (such as John Lewis). However if it is a graded item than the warranty length will vary and will be stated in the product's description.

The warranty length is sometimes not stated on the box but in the warranty booklet, which often contains the registeration slip allowing you to register via post.

Side note: No two phones will have matching IMEI :grincry:.

The IMEI is a unique identifier for a device and is one of the key numbers used to register a device onto a network or a bar device from a network. Unless of course you start going down the route of device cloning and IMEI spoofing (which is illegal). So if for instance this number was not unique and someone had their phone stolen, reported it stolen, it got barred therefore all devices with that IMEI will be barred from any network in that country.

Therefore again you are conflating two things - the product code and IMEI number :winktongue:.

Like I was saying man. International phones in USA has no warranty. Even from purchasing it new and register it. No warranty. I know Microsoft policy says one thing but it's opposite. I been there and tried fighting for warranty work on dual sim 950 xl and did not succeed so I returned to retailer for store return policy. But it is 2 different things we are talking about but I was mainly talking about warranty and devices.

Actually they do, if you brought them amazon or new egg they have to adhere the standard norm. Go through the help FAQ / Contact Us on Amazon or new egg and speak to a representative as opposed to relying on the automated service.

If a person is argumentative then they will receive no help whatsoever, they must be respectful, relaxed and articulate. Putting aside they are "international devices" but they are devices none the less and have been sold by them therefore the onus is on them to assist you as a customer to receive best service possible. However if a person is incoherrent and not respectful, generally they do not get very far into the process.
