Speaker rattle?

Had my 735 a week now and it's a fantastic piece of kit for the price. One thing I've noticed though is distortion at high volumes from the internal speaker. Headphones and Bluetooth speakers are fine. It doesn't happen all the time so I'm guessing it's certain frequencies or vibrations (WCentral notification is one example). I've taken the backplate off and tapped the speaker grille and there's a slight rattle as if something is lose. Is this normal? As I said some music is fine even at full volume and coming from an L820 this speaker is LOUD. Anyone else noticed this distortion or a rattle if you tape the speaker grille with the backplate off? Slightly concerned I've got a duff unit.

With cheap speakers you will always get a distortion at certain frequencies especially at high volume, your going to find this with any cheap hardware tablet, laptop or phone. If you feel you have a duff unit then exchange it and if it occurs again then most likely it is a cheap part which is to be expected as it is a low end phone. If it was a high end phone, then one expect to get a high quality product as that is why your shelling out more of your hard earned cash.

Never the less if the speaker grill is on the removable cover then you can change it for another (I haven't seen the cover in person just very blurry photos of tear downs), without having to go through the RMA process.
