Special characters

Has anyone noticed special characters being entered, particularly when typing quickly? Windows 8 has special character options when you hold a character (eg. holding the 'e' key). One example I heard was typing the word "this" quickly. Often, somehow special characters are interpreted rather than the actual key stroke.

Yeah I notice this as well holding certain letters will show a special character.
