Maybe, just Maybe? I spoke with Sprint yesterday and they said the Sprint Palm Treo Pro would be available on Sunday, February 15th and can then be ordered on line. I paid a visit to the local Sprint Corporate store today and they didn't know anything about it....whatever? They said that it has been pushed back so many times that when it gets there, it gets there. I am on the waiting list because of the massive trouble I have had with all FOUR of the 800W's I have had in the past year. So if anyone else has information, please share it with me.

Thanks for the response. I read that and am going to order it on Sunday. Do you know if the sync cable and car charger for the 800W will work with the Pro?

Local BB in suburb of Kansas City, MO has them on hand and will be selling them this Sunday. One literally has my name taped to it and I got to turn it on and play with it for a few minutes today. Screen is so much smaller than my Touch but I SO miss a hardware keyboard. Might give it a 30 day trial and see if there is any Pre news while I play.

I pre-ordered mine today, with a bit of determination. I do not have a ship date, but I have an order number. I have an 800w now, in fact this is the fourth one this year, so I will be glad and interested in how the Pro works!

Treo Pro at Sprint

Went to my local Sprint store today to upgrade my wifes phone. They had the Treo Pro on display and several in the back. Did not like the size or feel of the keyboard. (I am curently using a 800w). I went to "Task Manager " on my 800 and the Pro and shutdown all running apps. My 800 showed 60mb of RAM(program memory) available and the Pro showed only 39mb. I don't know what Fix was supposed to be done to the memory but the Pro I looked at today had the same amount of memory available as was first reported here. It also seemed to be fractionally slower to start up than my 800W. I was less than impressed with the Pro. It is a very nice looking device but I will stay with my 800W till the HTC Touch Pro2 hits our shores. I have had very good luck with my 800. Owned it since Aug 2007 and only did one hard reset and maybe a dozen soft ones. Get to a Sprint store or Best Buy and get your hands on one before opening your bank account to buy one. I know some of you have had trouble with your current device and others, like me, want to have the latest and greatest but get some hands on before you decide.

OK, let me correct this before I get chastised. I got my 800W in Aug 2008 NOT 2007. Lot's of cold medicine this last week so not always on top of my game.:confused::confused::eek::eek::eek:

I have had nothing but trouble with my 800W, in fact, this is the fourth one in less than a year. All mechanical problems, screens going out, buttons that don't work, usb port broken, the list goes on and on. I have the Pro now, and love it. At least so far, that is as far as the applications and the feel of it. But, and there always is a BUT, I am having trouble with the e-mails, any suggestions? I put in the same information as my 800W but that does not work???

Heh... I just got the pro upon release and I have had NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS with this pro. Mechanical problems, screen freezes when recieving text message, main buttons not working at times, cannot use the direction pad at times, and that was your fourth 800W that year... I havent even had my pro for a year, only since february and I'm already on my third one, going on my fourth because this one has the same problems as the other two.

I was wondering if anyone else was having problems with their treo pro's??

As for the email set up on this treo pro I think its very easy setting up addresses. I use Gmail and it was as simple as 1-2-3.

P.S.
Now with this third phone they sent me the internet is not working. They say this is a nation wide problem with upgraded accounts, or new phones so they're looking for the problem.... But I don't think its nation wide... or state wide I just think the phones bugged.

The phone is sweet as hell, and does everything I need to do perfectly....WHEN IT WANTS TO WORK PROPERLLY. It has a sleek and stylish look to it, its beautiful. I love the phone, I just wish it worked 110% perfectly.

I've had a Treo Pro for about a month and haven't had a spec of trouble with it. It's way more stable than the 800w which I had for 7 months. I'm very happy with the phone.

When I returned my 800w because of the problems I had with it, they replaced it with a Treo Pro. I didn't think I would like the keyboard either, but after a couple of days I was fine with it. Very happy they upgraded me.
