Since becoming a Surface 2 owner again (a month ago) I've been hammering this little device... really pressing it to accomplish the work I need to get done with a mobile device. It has done remarkably well... far better than it did in the past.
Two things that I've noticed that are different from when I first owned a Surface RT and then a Surface 2...
Stability... System updates no longer hose the system. Before, without fail, every time there was a system update, I'd end up having to troubleshoot and sometimes refresh/restore the system. Now, updates are smooth and trouble-free.
Battery life... before, battery life was not bad. Not as good as my iPad 4 (approx. 1/2 the life of the iPad 4). Now, working with Office and locally stored apps and a little browser for about 6 hours and it reports 72% remaining.
In typical Microsoft fashion, just when they get it right.... they kill it.
