Step by Step Guide to Flash New Firmware on 1020

I have black on my unlocked AT&T 1020 but I want to go unbranded so I can use tethering. which firmware can I use?

Hello,

I have the AT&T version of 1020. It also has the Black Update pushed out by AT&T. It is unlocked and I use it on T-Mobile. I used trooter's post to enable tethering: http://forums.windowscentral.com/no...ing-t-920-w-usa-t-mobile-sim.html#post2232278

My T-Mobile phone plan has tethering of course.

Sure, most will agree, if att keeps pushing the updates quickly, then there is no need to flash firmwares ... I want to flash something different to get tether working, don't want to pay att extra fee for no reason since I do not have unlimited data plan

Ugh, I hate that!!! It's my data allotment, let me use it how I please!

Of course, my mom bought my little sister an iPhone 5C for Christmas (I resent that so...). Well, she didn't take me with her (otherwise, I would never have permitted an iPhone, seeing as our resident tech guru). The AT&T people tricked her into getting a Mobile Share plan.

I must say, being able to now tether my SP2 is such a luxury. It's a new unexplored freedom. Still, we can save about $60-$70 a month by going back to a normal phone plan, so this isn't going to last. Tethering is nice, but money is a precious commodity, and that money can easily be spent on the food or gas bill.

So I'll enjoy it while it lasts, but AT&T sure as hell ain't tricking us into using one of those outrageously expensive Mobile Share plans...
