Still worth getting for T-Mobile prepaid?

Hey, prospective user here. I'm tired of Verizon and their crap so I was thinking of moving to T-Mobile's $30 5GB/month prepaid service when my contract is up in three months. Is the Lumia 710 with Windows Phone 7.5 or 7.8 even worth it? I don't know if any apps moving forward will continue to support the old OS. Should I wait for something of similar running Windows Phone 8 cost to show up? It's a bit of a tough decision for me, because it seems only higher end devices are available and I'd have to upgrade and extend my contract to afford one outright. I really do like WP but the Nexus is priced well too, but never in stock.

So, Lumia 710 owners, any problems you have with the current OS I should know of before I make any decisions. All help is appreciated.

In my opinion, it's a good device for the price you can get currently.

Also, I just noticed that the above phone may not have T-mobile branding, so it may international version. So it may have front facing camera, since I think
international version has FFC. T-mobile's version didn't have FFC. The one I got from groupon was T-mobile branded so no FFC.

I believe, since Nokia is still releasing new phones with WP 7.5/WP7.8, app support will remain for atleast couple of years or even more. Plus Nokia is still updating and releasing their own new apps for Lumias. Ofcz, app level on WP 7.5/7.8 won't reach the level of android/ios, but that is not a bad thing, according to me.

Coming from Android really the only thing I am missing are the app for my particular bank, the app for my favorite local TV stations weather, and Spotify, which was previously availible but taken down before I got the 710.

Other than that I am highly impressed with the app selection (especially the free apps) and the phone itself. The OS is butter smooth., and I got the phone used in mint condition for $115. That is a steal on the $30/5gb plan.
