Yes, this is true. But there are simple ways on Desktop IE, Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc. to stop it. Apparently no one knows how to do it on a Surface with Metro/Modern IE...?
This is probably a long shot, but since none of us have any bright ideas; have you considered syncing the settings? I mean set the active x option via a pc then select the option to sync settings across all devices?
Settings in desktop IE carries over to modern IE I believe. You should definitely give that ActiveX filtering a shot. Also, make sure you have tracking protection
Nope. Nothing I've done has been able to stop the auto play videos on sites like CNN.com when viewed on Modern IE. Is anyone able to go to CNN and not have a video automatically play? Easy to stop in other browsers...
