Storage on new phones

Hi,

Just purchased a new Lumia 950xl and I did not get any bonus storage as advertised?
I understand they did did cut their promise on storage but even on new phones while it's advertised with the purchase comes bonus storage? (that's probably illegal)
If so I have a university account which provides 1TB of one drive. How can I use that on my phone while keeping my Microsoft ID.

What storage bonus? (legitimate question, can you show me where you saw that? I don't recall such a promo but I probably just don't remember)

Also, if you can log into your university account in the OneDrive app, likely will show up as OneDrive for Business in that app and Office as well.
