Store, Cortana can't connect to internet

Woke up this morning to find that on my desktop the Store keeps saying "Check Your Connection" and prompting me to reload the page. Meanwhile, Cortana can't pull up interests. It's not an actual connectivity issue, since web+email+everything else works just fine (I'm posting from the same computer now). Tried the obvious things, plus a sfc /scannow with no luck. BTW, I'm not using Insider builds, but I tried to move to it just to see if a new build would fix my PC and it says "Something went wrong, we don't know what." Perhaps that issue is connected as well. It's odd, because nothing has changed recently.

Anyone else having this issue, or have any suggestions what to try?

In case anyone has this issue, after trying a bunch of possible solutions to no avail I "upgraded" again (even though I already had Windows 10) and now all is working. I decided that was a better option than a refresh which would remove all my apps.
