Store Maps on SD Card (Lumia Denim)

How to store maps on SD Card on WP 8.1 (Denim). Previously it was possible by using Lumia Storage Check Beta but now, that app is not available for installation. It seems MS pulled out that app from store. Please let me know if you find a way out.

I thought they'd disabled that feature and it wasn't possible with Denim anymore?
Wasn't there even a story about it in the news section here on Windows Central?

Indeed here is the article. But if you still have the app you can still use it but you can not install the app again.

Don't know why MS killed that cool feature silently. It was very useful for me I used till yesterday but after resetting my 720.:eck:

They should just make options for maps. Like save instead to SD card or not save map data at all. Shouldn't have to download an obsolete app just to keep maps on an SD card.

You can bring offline map storage to SD card back by modifying 3 registry keys, like so:

You will need to developer-unlock the phone first with the WP SDK, and then install vcREG to be able to edit the registry: (h t t p : / /)forum.xda-developers.com/windows-phone-8/help/qa-vcreg-lumia-reg-editor-live-interop-t3135348

It is long and somewhat complicated, but it worked on my Lumia 640!
