Succesful WP8.1 updates on Icon?

The first day was bad. I did a hard reset and did not restore from a backup. The power button was still an issue. Yesterday, things seemed to settle down and I don't think I had any instances of the phone not turning on when pressing the power. The button response may be slightly slower than 8.0, but not too bad. The battery use was a little more than pre 8.1, but not terrible. So right now, I'm pretty satisfied, except for some of the 8.1 features I don't really like. Oh, and you can restore you phone to factory settings with Nokia Care Suite.

Same here. I have some issue with the power button no being responsive, only for turning the device on. Turning off works fine.

A few times mine wouldn't wake up no matter what or how many buttons I pressed. Putting on wireless charger or plugging it in has worked every time to wake it.

The only issue I'm having is the power button lag. Battery drained quicker on day one of the update but is back to normal now. The power button/screen on button lash is troublesome, but I'm confident it will be fixed.

I'll through my hat into the ring with the power button issue, as well. My Icon has been acting funky with it since the update. This morning, it took me five minutes to get the thing back to life. Outside of that, rather glaring issue, I'm loving the update.

Yep. Have the power button lag on my Icon too since updating to 8.1.

Try this..enable double tap to open..with the glance on..I set mine to on full time..

Since then..I've only had to use the power button 2x in a full day to get it to come up..

Only issue I'm having is WiFi. I'm two fee from my router and my WiFi icon is grayed out. Then I keep getting "no network found"..

No double tap on Icon. I'm seeing a couple second lag, a little annoying but not all the time, and no times when it wouldn't open at all.

this is the Icon 8.1 thread. there is no double tap. yet.

my icon is having problems with the power button and my wifi is really wonky now. but everything else seems to be fine.

The only (big) problem I have is that sometimes the phone will get hot and the battery drains quickly. Most of the times it happens when the phone is idle (in my pocket or on the desk). I tried different things. It will work normal for couple hours, but then I feel the warm temperature and when I unlock it, is resuming something. I have to power it of and on and it will be normal again for some time.
I updated my wife's Icon and she doesn't experience any of this battery drain.

Is there a thread for WP8.1 update on a Lumia 1520? I had the issue of the unresponsive power button for two times. Had none after a soft reset.

I dont know if anyone pointed this out, but it appear that it only lags to wake up when is on wifi. I am at work and right now is fine, so i am glad that this is just a bug problem. For a moment I thought it was the phone :)

Thank you for making a front page post about this. Hopefully it will get son attention.

Same issue with the power button.

I found the facebook app and Nokia weather channel app caused overheating and seemed to make the power button issue worse. After uninstalling them im left with an intermittent issue where the power button won't wake up the device immediately. Sometimes its fine but others it will take 3 -5 seconds.

The WiFi issue is much more important to me then the power button. Yea the power button is annoying but the wifi issue makes me want to spike my phone at times.

I'm having this power button issue with my icon as well. It happens maybe 3-4x a day. I hold the camera button to wake the phone

I have had the power button issue a few times, can be really annoying. Hopefully MS will provide an update soon.
