Thank you for making a front page post about this. Hopefully it will get son attention.

Same issue with the power button.

I found the facebook app and Nokia weather channel app caused overheating and seemed to make the power button issue worse. After uninstalling them im left with an intermittent issue where the power button won't wake up the device immediately. Sometimes its fine but others it will take 3 -5 seconds.

yeah, is confirmed, it only does it when you have wifi on. t wont lag or anything once is off.

Me too Beast After install, my home WiFi connections was almost non existent. I had the WiFi sense on and turned it off and that helped for a short time. I turned the WiFi sense back on, and just left it on. It has now been 48 hours and No Problems. I think that it must "learn" the WiFi networks you connect to. I don't know about that though I noticed too that a couple of WiFi places I hang out at are now working like they were pre 8.1

I dont believe this is true, as I have had everything related to wifi (sense, wifi itself, etc.) turned off for the past two days, and I still get the power button lag problem 10-15 times per day.

I got the power button issue and the battery drainage issue. With respects to the battery drainage, I believe that it is actually not Cortana but other apps not closing correctly after you back out of them. I have seent hat I back out of an app and then I later press and hold the back button and the app is still there in a suspended state, I then close it using the X button to make sure its close for sure.

Did a Phone reset after upgrade and restored from backup on my Icon. Seeing the issue with the power button, although it seems to be only a delay between pressing the button and the screen waking, not a complete failure to detect the button press.

-Wish the text and fb messenger integration still existed. It was nice to be able to hit "switch" before without having to load the fb messenger app.
-Power button has been unresponsive several times today--had to reset/restart. (I don't ever have wifi on.)
-Whole texts and text strings are disappearing.
-Noticed my battery is draining faster, too, and the phone is getting hot sometimes when it is just idle.

I haven't used Cortana yet, but I will post my thoughts on that later.

Other than that, I love the new notification bar and toast notification options. Happy that I can now have a background pic on the start menu. I'm new to WP, so I'm still learning all of the functions. I'm happy that I made the switch from Android OS.

I dont know if anyone pointed this out, but it appear that it only lags to wake up when is on wifi. I am at work and right now is fine, so i am glad that this is just a bug problem. For a moment I thought it was the phone :)

Same here. Lag of a couple seconds on wifi but instantaneously when not.

The one thing I was really looking forward to I had to turn off. Cortana does two bad things. One, she eats battery. I lose between 3 and 5% and hour with her on. Off, 1.5%. There also seems to be something like a memory leak in her. The longer she runs, the laggier my phone gets. The unlock screen come on instantly after a reset, and swiping things past is smooth. As time goes on the unlock screen takes longer to appear then I want to use the bloody phone. A reboot fixes that but then it just starts over. I did a hard reset but that didn't fix anything. So until a nice update comes along, Cortana is off.

Successful update, having some quirks however. Unresponsive start screen response with pressing the power button...not all the time but enough to be annoying. Also wifi not working as good as before update, it will lose connection when it shouldn't be. Battery life not as good as before. I'm sure these items will be corrected in final version so, I'm not too worried.
Phone seems to run hotter than before as well. I shut off a lot of items that were running in background will see if that improves battery life and cools phone down a bit.

I am experiencing some weird Wifi behavior as well. When I am at home my Icon should always be connected to Wifi but sometimes when I look at the Wifi indicator it shows all grey bars, like it either isn't connected or has no signal strength. When I open wifi settings it finds my home Wifi, says connected, but the indicator is still showing no signal.

Microsoft we need a wifi fix!

How did you get double tap to wake working on the Icon?
