There should be options where we can play songs on mobile that are in some specified folder of windows 8.1
Connected with homegroup.
What do you think ?

Yes as there are many music collection. It would be great if the music is in one place in laptop amd windows phone connect to it and play the songs that are in computer
It will save bandwith and cloud storage and money also
