Surface 2 to VGA monitor

This looks like it would work as a monitor display from my Surface 2 to a VGA high resolution monitor (Samsung) - would it? The review says it works for Surface Pro, but not RT. Huh?



Any thoughts?

No, that won't work since the rt has micro hdmi, not displayport

Yep, you're right... didn't read the fine print. Thanks! And just found the Microsoft one for Surface RT at Best Buy on sale.

If your monitor has the white DVI port, you will get a better picture if you get a micro HDMI to DVI adapter and use that. The DVI port is digital instead of analog. If the monitor has an HDMI port the direct micro HDMI to HDMI would provide a similar result.
