Surface 2 Windows 8.1 RT--Problems with Linkedin

I am having problems opening and uploading a new CV in LinkedIn. The edit button is there (to upload a new CV) but it does not function. I had to use my husband's laptop to access my LinkedIn Account to upload my new CV. I contacted LinkedIn IT Help who suggested to install a new browser (they think it is browser related). Don't think it is possible to install another browser. RT seems to have a lot of security restrictions.
Any idea what could cause the LinkedIn problem with the button not functioning?

Using metro ie or desktop ie? Desktop ie works best for me, for uploading.
