Surface Go 2 USB C Video Out?

Has anyone had luck with video on the USB-C port to a USB C port on a monitor?

I can't get mine to send video out...
 
Have you tried using the Surface power adapter while you're connected to the other monitor?
 
I don’t have a USB C monitor that I can try, although I have used Duet on my Go 1 to output to an iPad Pro 10.5” and iPP 11” via USB C.

I saw a YouTube video done by a Go 2 user in Ireland who reported that he could not get his Go 2 to output via USB C to an external monitor that worked with an iPad and MacBook (I think?).
 
There appears to be a problem with the USB C video output. I have a USB C multi port adapter that I have used with my Go 1 to output to an HDMI TV as an external monitor. The Go 2 will not output to that setup. I unplugged the Go 2, plugged in the Go 1, and I have output to the TV.

I was able to use Duet and output through the USB C port to my iPad Pro 10.5 as a second screen. I’m not sure how Duet is pushing the signal, but it does work.
 
I just checked for and installed some Windows updates and now the Go 2 is working with the external monitor.
 
USB-C connection to external monitor works fine on my Surface Go (1) but it does not work via a USBC hub extender. Anyone have one that works? Mine, some Amazon jobbie, "Syntech" won't allow the connection.
