Hi.

Love this place, I have no real knowledge of PC's but am learning and really enjoying it!

I'm in uni and am about to get a lot of software installed on my SL2, i5, 256GB, 8GB.

I've got about 160GB free, I'm not sure if I should reset it and install all of this software (like dragon) onto a clean system. I'm not sure if that is best tack, how do you do it?

On a Chromebook it's a powerwash but I'm not sure here as it's a bit more complicated.

Thanks for your time, ste

I don't understand - you are going to install a bunch of software in the future and are asking whether you should erase your laptop before doing that?

I wouldn't erase anything unless you were selling it or having issues.

I agree with the above reply.
It you're worried about space, go into Settings and then Storage. You will see an option to clean up any junk files and free up space. That's really all you need to do.
