MS was never going to be releasing a phone anytime in the next year or so regardless. We are all just so bored we jump on every rumor we hear.

Kind of like how Hyundai dispelled rumors about an upcoming Turbo Veloster, only to release the Turbo Veloster 1 year later. There's no way you can design a turbo model in less than 1 year, so they had knowledge of it. But who would have bought the regular Veloster knowing the turbo would be out 1 year later?
