Surface Phone will have SnapDragon 830?

I think I agree with Daniel Rubino, in that making an x86 phone that could run legacy "desktop" apps would kind of be a step backwards in the grand scheme of things. MS want's everything in UWP. So, what would make a Surface phone different? What problem will it solve that we haven't thought of? IDK, but I hope MS has it all figured out, for the sake of W10M.

Now in terms of GPU this one is tricky, Intel kind of screwed the pooch on that one big time with the X7-Z8700 there's a GPU bug in there that if I remember right from reading the datasheet has an issue with texturing polygons properly and required the Z8750 to fix that issue (and increase the amount of execution cores from 12 to 16.) Technically in terms of raw GPU power the Tegra X1 is the top contender for the mobile smartphone/tablet part. I haven't developed games for mobile yet (not sure if I ever will to be honest) So I can't really benchmark them or anything.

Honestly we can say all we want but at the end of the day only Microsoft knows.

If they want to stand out I don't think having a Snapdragon would help out...

I think i said this before in this post, but if a surface phone comes out, I'm expecting it to have tegra processor based on their past working with nvidea, which is why i keep checking their site for information on upcoming mobile chips.

I'm also going to go ahead with a conspiracy theory that the nvidea shield tablet is basically the surface mini. and now I'm going to go put on my aluminum hat to make sure people aren't reading my thoughts.
