From the story about the Surface Book at wired.com/2015/10/surface-book-behind-the-scenes a line caught my attention.

"Panay just watches it for a moment, carving over and over to form the antenna gap. A few machines away, another machine works on a prototype of a new phone."

New phone prototype right next to Surface Book milling machine. Smells like Surface Phone to me.

He also talks about the agility of their prototyping and their passion for redefining categories. I have a strong feeling we aren't done seeing great things from these guys.. :)

They do have the tendency to redefine old categories and create new ones. I'm hoping for the best from Panay.

galaxy note remains the only pen enabled mobile in the world. and samsung has begun to really abuse this monopoly.

earlier in 2014 the had a note series,

note3 neo 5.2inches
note3 7 inches
note8 8inches
note10 10.9 inches
note12 12.2 inches

even if from just one company (samsung) and on just platform (android),
atleast there was a note machine for everyone, in every size, for every budget.

come 2016-
just one note i.e note 5
(without sd card slot and without removable battery)

we need a lumia surface phone.
