I drove to best buy today to find something, and I found a sales man trying to sell a surface hard to a bunch of dumb consumers. They keep asking what the difference is, and they keep comparing surface 2 to an iPad and surface pro 2 as a laptop. My god how can people be this stupid.
I just barely sold my surface pro to upgrade to the 2. Went to the Microsoft store and they are all sold out of every model of the pro 2. They don't have any covers 2 in stock either. Is demand really high or did ms not make enough?
who's they? For any guys in the UK, they seemed to have all Surface Pro 2 varieties for pick up and collect from the store the next day!
I pre ordered mine end of September Got October 22nd. Had issues. Was replaced. Works like a champ. Compact, easy to carry, easy to set up, easy to navigate, very responsive and intuitive. I Love it. 512GB is not avail until mid December. Worth the wait. Only thing not right yet is the type keyboard. I'm typing on it now. Working great now but unreliable. Takes multiple reattachments and/or starts sometimes to work. They've already replaced it once. They need a fix for this. Small issue to me. I type very fast but have learned to type on tablet already. Just prefer the keyboard personally.
I'm using the type cover. I figured out the cure to the unreliable type cover. If machine shuts down or sleeps for any length of time it doesn't see keyboard as attached when it wakes up. I have to unattach it, turn surface sideways (volume key up top) reattach the cover in that position and then use normally. Has worked every time for three days now. Hubby said it is an interface problem (whatever that means). He also stated Microsoft needs to fix if they want to stay prime time. Still love my surface. So intuitive,
