Surface Pro 2 Sold Out

I was able to get my 256 at the Microsoft store in San Antonio. I did take the last type keyboard they had in stock though. Maybe Microsoft is trying to keep stores stocked leaving online sales in the backburner?

For any guys in the UK, they seemed to have all Surface Pro 2 varieties for pick up and collect from the store the next day.

I cancelled my Microsoft store order today and will pick up my shiny new SP2 tomorrow!

I drove to best buy today to find something, and I found a sales man trying to sell a surface hard to a bunch of dumb consumers. They keep asking what the difference is, and they keep comparing surface 2 to an iPad and surface pro 2 as a laptop. My god how can people be this stupid. Fortunately it is actually selling at best buy. Accessories are selling as well.

I also drove by Fry's electronics today and found a display or Surface. I guess they started selling it too. I over heard some people buying it and being productive on it. "I practically use surface 2 as my PC now". It is shocking to hear random people having surfaces. It is picking up. In no time, surface will be the next household name.

Those customers are confused about what it is and is not, the closest they know of to compare it to are the iPad and a laptop.

But they are stupid and dumb for asking questions. Interesting.

I just barely sold my surface pro to upgrade to the 2. Went to the Microsoft store and they are all sold out of every model of the pro 2. They don't have any covers 2 in stock either. Is demand really high or did ms not make enough?

Every model except the 256GB option is in stock at both Best Buy and Staples for delivery. The Tempe, AZ Fry's Electronics also has the 256GB in stock for in store pickup, which suggests some other Fry's may have them as well.

in my areas all models are still sold out...im just assuming they didnt send much stock?...

wow.. and just last week I was flipping out then super excited when I finally found a SP2 256GB in stock.

At least my trouble saved me $35 over microsoft's cost for SP2 lol.

Will the "sold out" gamble be played on black Friday, or will there suddenly be plenty available ?

Either way quarter4 sales for 2013 should be interesting when they are released.

I pre ordered mine end of September Got October 22nd. Had issues. Was replaced. Works like a champ. Compact, easy to carry, easy to set up, easy to navigate, very responsive and intuitive. I Love it. 512GB is not avail until mid December. Worth the wait. Only thing not right yet is the type keyboard. I'm typing on it now. Working great now but unreliable. Takes multiple reattachments and/or starts sometimes to work. They've already replaced it once. They need a fix for this. Small issue to me. I type very fast but have learned to type on tablet already. Just prefer the keyboard personally.

What keyboard are you using? I'm using the type cover and it works great. I'm a fast typer as well. I thought it would be difficult coming from a 13 inch MacBook Air but the type keyboard works well.

I'm using the type cover. I figured out the cure to the unreliable type cover. If machine shuts down or sleeps for any length of time it doesn't see keyboard as attached when it wakes up. I have to unattach it, turn surface sideways (volume key up top) reattach the cover in that position and then use normally. Has worked every time for three days now. Hubby said it is an interface problem (whatever that means). He also stated Microsoft needs to fix if they want to stay prime time. Still love my surface. So intuitive,

I'm 5' 3" female and have no issues with carrying and using this thing. Don't know what the complaining is about. Maybe Apple trolls. IPad is for social media teenagers. Surface is for the serious workaholic, traveling adults who love to socialize with family and friends at night in the hotel room while composing analysis for work in split screen.

Now that I think of it. I've had that problem occur a few times. Never thought too much of it though. It was annoying though. Maybe they'll come out with a software fix or the last updates fixed it because I don't recall it happening these past few days but it has happened to me.
