Surface Pro 3 Facebook won't work

So I have a Surface pro 3 running windows 8.1. Everytime I click facebook the main page loads but when I try to view notifications, messages, watch a video or try to load more than two posts on my news feed it just never loads. Anyone know what the issue is and how to fix it?
