Surface Pro 3 i7 Windows 10 Upgrade Fails

I have been attempting to install the Windows 10 update on my Surface all day today but it gets about 50% through "copying files" and then crashes, reboots and proceeded to restore previous version of windows. I am now on my 5th attempt to do this which is frustrating because every attempt requires a new 2.7GB download.

One of the fails did the flash up the overheating symbol on the screen before the install crashed but this hasn't happened every time.

Are any other SP3 owners having similar issues? I am now contemplating using the Media Creation Tool and attempt the upgrade that way.

Thanks,
Daniel

Yes, I got stuck copying files. I'm just trying a second time now. Mine didn't crash though. It just sat at 32% copying files all night.

EDIT: Ran perfectly the second time.
