Hello. I have Surface pro 4, version with i5. Windows Home Edition. After I connect the computer to an external monitor as second screen only, I can not change resolution in the system. Resolution option becomes disabled and looks low on external monitor. Yesterday I tried to find a solution on the Internet but did not find. Please please please help me.
My external monitor is a model 21:9 AOC LV291HQM.
I have another laptops from Dell and Lenovo. Both another laptops have Windows 10 Home, HDMI port and both works well with my external monitor. I also have 2 hdmi adapters witch according to spec and rating works good even with 4k resolution. Maybe some smart people let me know how to solve this problem? Thank you.

I found information in Internet that surface docking station can solve the problem. I can not all the time carry the station with me. I am sure that is another way to fix it.
