Swipe down to close an app working in latest build?

When I tried out the first build released of the Preview on my Lenovo tablet, I quickly noticed that nothing happens when I swipe down from the top to close a modern app. Also, there was really no way to make apps default to fullscreen mode.

Has any of this changed in the most recent build?
