Swype is aware of the situation but WP is closed for that kind of function so they can't do anything on their own.
So unless MS "unlocks" the system, or imports a function similar to swype on their own, you won't see it.

Which is why I mentioned 8.1. By then, the OS might be secured enough to allow devs to exercise that keyboard API. With the amount of WP's out there today, I'm sure the Nuance devs want to get at this market. Or even SlideiIT, SwiftKey could get in the mix. Microsoft could build one too I suppose.
