system storage keeps growing

Hi Michail71, it really sucks that the reset didn't work.

My phone is also having the issue that the system storage is growing. It grew with like 2GB over the past week . I reached out to WP support, but they gave me no solution that would work, other that a hard reset. But since it does not work, I guess it is pointless to try it if the storage will just start to grow again.

I have a Lumia 930, with Lumia Denim on, no preview software.

Attempting the change date method at the moment.

Can it be that I am running Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 10074 that my storage keeps on growing? Maybe something in the background is syncing with my phone and this is causing my phone storage to cause issues... Just a wild suggestion...

Can anyone advise if they are also experiencing these issues since installing Windows 10 Preview on their PC's?

An app could be causing it too. Could try factory reset, then only installing crucial apps. Then one by one installing others.

After a factory rest it's back to growing. Approaching 6GB now. Double the size it was after the rest.

Mine is up to 10GB. Can't get ride of it either, running 10166 on an icon. Obnoxious.

Great it works for me. Previously my system storage is 5.3 GB now it shrink into 4,45 GB. Great!
It works on L640XL i will try on my lumia 735

Use updateadvisor app from the store it will free up the cache and temporary files

Set the date to 10+ years into the future, power off then on, wait 20 minutes. Reset to today, off/on. You'll see a lot of shrinkage.
