I received a text message yesterday that a feature on my account had changed. I phoned, and the support specialist said that my hotspot data capacity had been increased from 0.5GB to 2.5GB at no additional charge to me. Today, I received another text message that a change had been made to my account. I "chatted" online with T-mobile, who said that my monthly charges had been decreased by $20 per month, and that this was associated with the increase of hotspot data. When I (incredulously) asked why the change in my favor, the reply was to the effect that "T-Mobile is always looking for ways to keep their customers happy."

Has anyone else here experienced this and have a more detailed explanation?

If indeed true, that's awesome. Can you tell them to talk to Verizon for me?

I had a older plan with a year left (when Tmo still had contracts) and complained in a tweet. John Legere responded, gave me email, gave me an extension and I talked to him personally and he gave me a credit to my account for a free month, moved me to a no contract plan, reduced my monthly bill by $10, and gave me 2.5gb hotspot, so it doesn't surprise me. My bills gonna be reduced another $8 once I upgrade my phone to the 925! Also figured out as of the new year my company now gets 15% discount. My bill for two peoples now down to $89 with unlimited everything!

That's awesome. I could only wish that TMO had coverage worth having where I live. :straight:
