Tap-To-Pay on At&t?

The best I can figure out is with the Isis technology or app. It is only available for use in Austin, TX and Salt Lake City, UT. Whatever!

I see these PayPass symbols all over the place, and while I know it isn't exactly the same as ISIS, these are some of the few times that I look at my L920 in dissapointment.

I want NFC payment to work. I've sent emails to AT&T without much fanfare. A rep got back to me and said they would look into it.. That was about two months ago.

I got tired of waiting and traded my 920 in. One of the biggest things I was looking forward to was using NFC for mobile payments, but of course Microsoft bent over to the carriers and caved in with the whole ISIS thing (which, btw, is never going to take off...). It seems like they keep taking 1 step forward and 2 steps back with Windows Phone 8....

So on Android there is nothing holding it back? You can take any Android with NFC and Google Wallet and use it to pay at any PayPass reader?

It's not Windows Phones' fault, its completely on the carriers. You noticed that wasn't an American McDonalds, WP8 tap-to-pay works on other carriers that actually support it in foreign countries. Once AT&T and Verizon pull their heads out of the mud and finally start allowing us to do this, then we'll be able to use the NFC for tap to pay.
