Text message notification shows last name twice

On my band for some time now my fiance, and only my fiance's, last name shows twice when I get text notifications from her. I've rebooted the band multiple times since but no change. Anyone else experience this?

Does your phone have a nickname for your fiance? My band messes up contacts that have nicknames... like, say my surname is Smith. I get texts from my mother, and instead of saying "Jackie Smith," the band says "Mom Smith." I'm guessing that if I nicknamed her "Smith," the band would say "Smith Smith."

I don't even know how to assign a nickname, so I doubt that is the problem.
