The new iPad Pro announced today should have been called the iPad Surface!

Yep, the lemmings will be like, hey no one has ever done any of this before. Looks all magical. ooooooooooooo.....Apple lemmings remind me of the martins in the toy story movie in the vending machine..

Dude watch out. Last time I called them iSheeps I got a warning from a mod here in this forum :D :D:D

ha ha. yeah, too funny. Apple copied everything from Microsoft / nokia this time around. the size, a bunch of software things that ms designed, the pen (which just about a year ago or so, apple said was never needed. Now they have one it's all magical and the best thing since breast milk.) I can go on and on about apple, their shady way of doing things and their poor crappy products. The other funny thing is they released the lackluster iPhone 6s. They even said on stage not to compare it to the 6, but the 5s. In non-lemming speak, that would insinuate that its actually just an iPhone 6, where they slapped on an s, and never made ANY new advancements in hardware. Its the same damn phone. BUT.......the ilambs will eat them up, camp outside the store like morons to get them. Too funny. Actually, come to think of it, the best part is that after the event, there were a bunch of news articles that state investors are not wow'ed by apples new releases. Even better. It's a slippery slope to the bottom. Nothing new, the same ole same ole released from Cupertino since Jobs passed.

Are we claiming Microsoft was the first with a stylus? Being a 12" tablet? Have a keyboard cover?

No, Microsoft was not first with those.

  • What they WERE first on bringing incredible WACOM technology with the Pen to a portable tablet PC with a mainstream OS to support it
  • They were not the first with a tablet keyboard, but they were first with a magnetic detachable TYPE (with actual keys) cover. They made the Touch Cover more relevant, but no, not the first
  • There were previous tablets in the 12" range, however, they were the first to make it as compact, light, portable and with USB 3
  • Also, Microsoft was the first to bring a fully functional desktop OS to a portable device (Microsoft Tablet PC from 1999)
  • Even the iPads of today do not run the full MAC OS's but a more Mobile Version which takes away from many of the capabilities to make any/all of the iPad lines a true laptop replacement like the Surface Pro and Windows 8/10 Tablets (nor RT)'s are marketed as. (RT does really well for remote/mobile users but as a true laptop replacement for business, no)

I am sure there are more things I can add, but it's silly to think that Microsoft invented any/all of this stuff, but, you have to admit that Microsoft has played a huge part in bringing a lot of what we have now to the mainstream.

The poor Microsoft Tablet PC was just way too far ahead of the curve, but at least Steve Jobs took inspiration from it to come up with the iPad.

Apple isn't using Wacom to support a stylus. They're using their Force Touch/3D Touch to do it.

And they are not using a stylus, that's a no no in apple world. They said before stylus is useless on a tablet type device for years. So they are using a pencil, SO MUCH BETTER. Everyone needs a pencil with their tablets not a stylus. Apple invented the tablet pencil, remember that folks.

Who wants an iPad Pro crap?
It was first-designed and enginereed in Apple but copied from Micrsoft!

Tim Cook: Wait! Erase that! Just say we brought it first!
