The rules have changed

From members with 4 posts to 4000... doesn't matter. As long as we feel the user can be rehabilitated, it's worth following the warnings, infractions and bans procedures we now have in place.

Always be judicious and use common sense. Often times a warning is enough.

Right okay then, my plan of action is unless it is clearly an autopost spam off someone that contributes nothing (I.E. it uses the common spam stuff) then just ban off the mark. Else, try and rehabilitate them.

Okay, so would the same apply to say like a 450+ post valuable member who's just flown off the handle somewhat? Would they perhaps just need some time out to rehabilitate?

This would be a good example of a great time to get a second opinion. Nothing is urgent in these matters we have time. Ask for help unless a member is just cursing at other members. Always take into account the human factors. People don't read the rules. Most people don't break the rules on porous. If it obvious to you that someone is here just to start trouble its okay to go ahead and take care of it. Just make sure others on the Mod team would agree with you. All other times get a second opinion.
