Could someone with a 950 please confirm that you can add third party notifications to the slots on Glance, I have just updated my 640 to W10M and I can no longer add them, WhatsApp for instance , when I add it from the list I just get a red cross in the box and notifications don't appear on the glance screen
The core MS apps still work, phone, ski calendar etc.

With double tap to wake absent on the 950 I'm going to have to reconsider upgrading if I can't have glance how I want it too, feels like a huge backward step, meanwhile ill have to go back to 8.1

Glance screen is a half baked feature from MS. Third party apps not supported. Leave alone third party apps, not even few MS apps are supported in glance such as weather for few devices.

Thanks for the reply but Just to be clear I am talking about notification counts on the glance screen (the 640 doesn't support anything other than date/time and 5 notifications slots) there are 5 positions, on 8.1 I had, Phone, SMS, Email, WhatsApp and Battery pro+ set, on Glance screen any new messages are shown as a counter, and the battery pro shows a constant battery percent, since updating to W10M I can not add WhatsApp or battery pro, it just shows a red X on the set up screen.

Okay! I have no idea about W10M. Considering 8.1 yes, u can just view the counts in the glance screen

Apps need to support it. In the current iteration of the W10 apps there are a lot of apps that just don't support it yet. This is not a W10 thing, this is an app thing.

Third-party notification counts work fine for me on both the 920 and the 950. This isn't even a separate Glance setting, it just uses the same ones you set up on your lock screen, so it's interesting that only the third-party ones don't work for you.

I'm happy that my 950's hardware supports Glancescreen features -especially since the feature was stopped on the Icon/930.
However, I am disappointed that my 950 doesn't support the Peek feature of Glance.
My 1020 running Windows Mobile 10 Preview does have the Peek feature available and working.
I'm hoping that Peek it's added at a future date - does anyone else miss Peek?

@jfreiman

Hold you hand over the screen or better, the sensors on top of the device, then glance will appear again on screen.

The 30s mode works like peek, at least it does on my 950.
