Third Party Mini DisplayPort to HD AV Adapter

Has anyone tried any third party Mini Display adapters for Surface Pro? I don't mind buying a Microsoft one, but I just want to see if anyone tried any other brands?

This is one I received a few days ago, it's advertised for various Apple products but it works just fine. It's a 3-in-1 adapter with DisplayPort, HDMI, and DVI outputs.

Not really an adapter but a Mini DisplayPort to DisplayPort cable from Amazon:

Connected it to my 24" 16x10 monitor and it runs great @ 1920x1200 as a a secondary, primary or only monitor.

Same here. Grabbed one off of Newegg for 8 bucks. Works well. I do notice a graphical glitch on the Surface itself when scrolling the Start Screen, but this doesn't come through on my 60" LED.

I noticed that as well, a sort of screen-tearing effect. Fortunately it doesn't happen anywhere other than the start screen as far as I can tell.

I have the monoprice adapter and it works for the two monitors and tv that i've tried it with. It's much cheaper than the other alternatives as well.

Does Sound come the HD Port on the surface pro?

If you're asking about the miniDisplay Port, then yes. It's able to transmit both video and audio through a single cable.
