This tweet to O2 UK shows why WP has a long way to go.

That..... hurt all the way here in the US. You must have just stared at your screen for a minute, wondering when the punch line was coming.

Hope they followed up with an apology and some sort of actual answer.

forgive my ignorance, but where is O2 as far as size of carriers in the UK? Have they been a decent WP supporter through WP7 and 8, or just a recent convert?

I did get an apology at least but I have to wonder just how much effort really goes on behind the scenes.

O2 were the largest UK mobile operator (by subscribers) until the Orange/T-Mobile merger (called Everything Everywhere) in 2011. I still regard them as the largest since both Orange and T-Mobile continue to trade as separate brands for the time being.

tbf though, that could just have been an honest mistake, in writing out Android instead of WP8

most people dont now that there is windows phone os.
my gf asked what version of android is installed on my lumia 720.(#faceplam)

WHOME to blame? nokia never advertise about Windows phone os. they dont even say it runs on wp. nokia could seriously take advantage of "windows" and ''Microsoft" name in add for attracting customers.

look at android phone there manufacturer SAYS(sought out loud) it run on android 4.1/4.2
