I have the signal strength vertical bars, the roaming triangle and three wavy lines on a 45-degree angle at the top left of the screen. What are they telling me?

Your phone is on silent+vibrate mode.

It means the phone is on vibrate mode. (no ringer, just vibration)

AKA bacon mode.

If you hit a volume button and tap the down chevron/arrow in the upper right, you can fiddle with the volume settings
