Still cannot get it to pair on my 1020, running 8.1. Neither NFC or BT will detect it. The app however does load with the update.

Frustrating to hear... Wonder what the hold up is. I have two Treasure Tags on the way for my L1020 on WP8.1...

BT LE is disabled in the dev preview version of 8.1, so those Treasure Tags won't work. It'll be re-enabled in the final version I would think.

My games just updated and its gone as well! I hope they aren't removing the Games hub altogether...

edit: If you use transparency tiles or one of the other apps you can still access the Games hub, so at least for now it's not gone.
