Touchscreen only works for 3 seconds after unlocking screen then unresponsive, what can I do?

Touchscreen only works for 3 seconds after unlocking screen then unresponsive

Win HD LTE Windows8.1 2nd update, the touchscreen doesn't respond to touch after 3 seconds from unlocking. Already did a soft and a hard reset.

You have pretty much ruled out software then...

The last resort is to reflash using Windows Device Recovery Tool, but that only works for the Americas version X150q. See this thread: http://forums.windowscentral.com/ge...-recovery-tool-expanded-covers-more-oems.html

If a clean install of the OS does not solve the issue you have a hardware problem. Seek repair.
