Track WP8.1 + Lumia Cyan Rollout!

Ughhhh Microsoft! I guess I'm rolling back to windows phone 8 then

why so? whichever version you choose be it 8.0 or 8.1 will have these issues on L925. my question is which is better 8.0 with heat issue or 8.1 with heat issue also?

A French operator (SFR) has tipped, last week, that 8.1 is coming to their 925 and 625 today. Nothing so far. And I've discovered that my so-called unbranded 1020 is branded (and unsimlocked) ; my operator is not SFR and has not announced any date or anything on 8.1

Then you're stuck with the release schedule of whoever the original network is. Only way I would think to find that out is to use the nokia retail tool so you can easily find the product code and bing/google it to see who the original network is.

Question : I have the Win Phone 8.1 dev preview installed on my Lumia 925 ( Version 8.1012397.895 firmware : 3051.40000.1345.1004 ) do I still get the Cyan update or do I have to unsubscribe myself from the Dev. program ?

You'll still get it, you'll just get the firmware side of things that Cyan provides since you have the rest of it already.

Exactly. The more guinea pigs, the faster the bugs will be fixed.

Staggered release is of course to address server issue. But the logic of which device comes first is what puzzles some.

Just a report,I have zero heating or battery drain issues on l925 8.1 dp..was skeptical reading others issues,but turned out great..now waiting for cyan

i never had any of this extreme battery drain with 8.0 and the heating as gotten much worse after 8.1

Cyan is essentially the official OS update, including the new firmware.

Please correct me if I am wrong; however, aren't all Windows Phones running 8 getting the 8.1 update?

Carrier branded phones are not guaranteed to get the 8.1 update. It's up to the carrier.
