I have about 20 apps that I paid for. I want to change my Live ID. Can I transfer these apps to a new Live ID?

No, that wont work sorry. Every transaction in the Marketplace is associated with the Live email that was used. I wish there were options hopefully someone else knows something I don't.

I changed the Live ID associated with my Xbox Live account on the console a week ago.

I then reset my phone and used the new Live ID and started to download my previously purchased apps.

You have already purchased this app blah blah appeared.

Probably works like Xbox where it associates content in 2 places, your live id and the device. So as long one is still the same it works.

So all your apps are associated with your gamer tag not your email address?

Yes - as long as you link your Xbox account to your new Live ID you will be fine. I did the same thing.

Also its a long wait and they may even say no but I called MSFT and had them do that for me. They were able to do it but I lost my stats from games played no big deal for me. However some people do would not like that.
