Transfer My Data app

I'm a newbie to Windows phone, having just switched from android to the 1520. I've tried to import my contacts via bluetooth with 'Transfer My Data'. It says it's got them all and that my contacts have been copied. Trouble is, they're not actually in the contacts list when I want to make a call or write a text.

Am I missing something?
