Transferring files between Chromebook not working with Lumia 640?

When I connect the Lumia 640 the two drives show up very slowly and then when I try to open the internal memory or microSD card it just keeps loading until nothing shows up. Sometimes a folder shows up... with nothing inside.

That sometimes happen to my 620. It's usually because there's too much data on one or both drives I usually give it a minute or two after connecting the phone and then open any of the drives. Also close other applications on your phone & PC while your doing it.

Might be because the class of the sdcard? Which class do you have?

Chromebook can not load the USB drivers for the phone. These have to load before you can access the phone or SD card.

Perhaps you could change the "priority" levels of those drivers, set them to "high" or whatever so that they boot up first, but this might end up slowing down your boot time
