Twitter Tile + Band 2

I added the Twitter tile to my Band. However I use Aeries & Tweetium for my Twitter feeds on WP. Will the tile work or do I need to have the official (yuck!) Twitter app installed?

I cant get it to work even with the official twitter app
might be a lumia1520 wp10 preview problem though

The Twitter tile works fine for me, with an iPhone. I can disable vibrations and alerts too but still have them appear in the tile.

I think its only for the official app, the same with Facebook, which force me to use instead of the beta one that I prefer.
Option if you are using wp8.1, to enable the notification center tile which supposedly for all notifications. But somehow I believe the w10m have issues with that, at least I never got any thing from the that tile.

It works only with the official app. I think the first time you add it, it gives a popup tooltip saying you must have the official app installed. Otherwise, you can still get the Tweetium notifications from the notification tile. I don't think you would be missing out on much since you can't reply to tweets or view your timeline from your Band even with the official app.
