Calling out all Indian Vodafone users
I am unable to access internet be it on 3G or 2G connection, did the normal trouble shooting that you get when you call the helpline, set up new access points, soft reset's etc. I get the E or H+ symbol but it simply refuses to open up an website or apps.
I am wp8.1 Update 1, did not have this issue before. any suggestions??

your local DNS settings might be goofed up.
Which region are you in India? Network Circle?

Try doing a soft reset and see if that fixes the issue. I am not having any problems on my Vodafone data plan post the update.

I also faced the same issue last weekend and tried all possible method's to make it work but was in vain........but after 3-4 hours it started working itself. It might happen that due to high congestion(high rate of cellular traffic) in your area this happened but not sure about that.

I'm in Mumbai circle too, and its working smooth as always. Congestion seems likely answer to your problems. A few hours and you will be back and running smooth. (Dial 198 for Complaints to Vodafone, Mumbai)

If you have access to WiFi try it, to rule out any problems in your phone hardware.

Works fine with WiFi so hardware issue there.. Does not seem like congestion as others are able to access internet on their vodafone connection..

Hi Kavita,

There is an issue with Vodafone and Windows phone 8.1 Dev preview ... had started another thread earlier ...

http://forums.windowscentral.com/wi...6042-data-connection-drop-vodafone-india.html

The only solution that seems to work for me is put phone in either flight mode or switch off the data connection for a few minutes and then switch it on again ... The worst part of the problem is the complete randomness of it ... Am still unable to figure out any causative events for the connection drop.

If you're using a Lumia, open Access Point under Settings and re-register your carrier. Sometimes after an update the Settings don't stick and have to be re-enabled
